(800) 910-5382 Adventureland was started in the spring 1973. The opening of the park was delayed till late August because of a tornado. The grounds where Adventureland now stance used to belong to the Des Moines Airport. They have had many additions over the years adding rides and taking some out. It is now Iowa's largest tourist attraction and has over 100 rides in the park. It has been open for 34 years and is still moving forward. Two years ago they had their most recent addition, Kokomo Cave. It is their only water inside the park altho they have other water rides in the park.

Arnolds Park started in the late 1800's by a man named Wesley Arnold when he built a water slide on his property. It was built over 100 years ago. One of the most famous things about this park is their nutty bars. This nut covered ice cream treat was a draw for many people to come to the park. Many different owners and attractions have come and gone. In 1999 a developer bought the property and told the public about his plan to build a hotel and retail complex. Soon after that startling announcement the public raised enough money to by the land back from the developer. They raised over $7 million dollars.
